The Allan Jones Performing Arts Centre
Located within the Chadkirk Business Park in Romiley (see maps below for location) the Allan Jones Performing Arts Centre has been home to Werneth Concert Band and Werneth Swing Band since June 2014. It is used primarily as a rehearsal facility for the bands and ensembles within the bands, but in order to raise funds to pay for its upkeep regular events are held at the Centre throughout the year.
We want to encourage local organisations to use the facilities for a range of performing arts and community activities and are offering long-term sublets to those who want to join us. In addition, our rooms lend themselves for use as meeting venues for half day, full day or evening use.
The facilities comprise the following: Studio 1 ;is a large carpeted rehearsal room which can also be used as a recording studio for large ensembles. It can be set out in boardroom, theatre or cabaret styles for meetings. It can accommodate up to 100 people in the theatre/ cabaret configurations and 25-30 people arranged in a boardroom style.

Studio 2, a smaller room with laminated flooring, like Studio 1 can also be used for smaller activities or events, but additionally offers the opportunity to house exhibitions or displays in conjunction with a meeting in Studio 1.

There is also a large open plan social area furnished with easy chairs and coffee tables which incorporates a kitchen for serving food and drinks. The social area can be extended into Studio 2 for supporting events in Studio 1.

The Centre has storage areas in each Studio and a cloakroom and toilets within the social area. Over 100 chairs and a large number of tables are available to suit most needs. We can also provide the following for meetings:
- LCD projector with screen for PowerPoint presentations
- White board
- Flip chart
- Lectern
- PA system
- Radio microphone
Accessibility
The Business Park has a large car park close to the Centre and there is disabled access via a lift.
Directions
The Business Park is located approximately 15 minutes’ drive from J25 of the M60. The entrance to the Business Park is accessed from Vale Road by way of a private road.
