If you would like to play in Werneth Concert Band, read on!

We generally accept players of reasonable ability (about Grade 5 or above).

If you play woodwind (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon or saxophone), brass (cornet, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium or bass), double bass or percussion, then we may be looking for you!

New members are always welcome, although sometimes this may be subject to numbers, in order to maintain the balance of instruments in the band. To apply to join Werneth Concert Band please click on the button below and complete our application form:

When do we rehearse?

Concert Band
Bredbury Green Primary School, Clapgate, Romiley, Stockport SK6 3DG - every Tuesday (except school holidays) from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Swing Band
Romiley Conservative Club, Guywood Lane, Romiley SK6 4AN. Rehearsals are usually once a month on Sunday nights - dates supplied on joining.

Youth Band
Overdale Centre, Powicke Drive, Romiley SK6 3EF (also known as Bredbury Green and Goyt Valley Children’s Centre) - Friday nights during term time from 6.30 to 8.15pm.
